Momentum
Momentum is a good thing and today was a stellar day for building momentum. My husband and I took 4 large boxes of books to the Harvard Book Store to sell in their used book section. We came home with 4 large boxes of books (slightly less full), knowledge of the sorts of things they buy and $60 in our pocket.
Then in the evening my daughter and I sold a bunch of her old clothes (the ones the resale shop sent back home with me) to a woman who had purchased some last year. She came by with her mother, looked through the stuff we had assembled and an hour and $88 later we said goodbye.
And if that wasn’t enough, when our nephew came by to drop off our son we loaded his car up with a bookcase (that big one that has been blocking the passageway outside the downstairs bathroom since Labor Day) and two chrome side tables from down in the basement. As our nephew predicted, getting it into the Jeep was a real life game of Tetris. The good news is we won! As long as he makes it home safely that is…
And just to show that things will continue to trickle out of our house – tomorrow someone is coming by to pick up the two cassette recorders we found last night and another person is coming to buy the toy kitchen. Okay, technically the toy kitchen is not getting out of the house as it is already outside, but it is getting out of my brain space – something I have even less of than house space at the moment.
All in all, I feel progress happening.
