Pandemic Sexy (or Finding Love in a Pandemic)

I like the way you wear it
Tight across your nose
Extending beneath your chin.
And even though I cannot see your smile, hidden behind that mask made from fabric which would make an awesome dress for an eight year old, I can tell you are kind.

I noticed the way you didn’t hold the door for me and how you turned away when the old man passed.

I saw how you kept more than six feet away from the person in the aisle in front of you and how you skillfully kept one hand clean as you shopped using only your left to place things in your cart, never handling items you didn’t intend to buy.

You never even touched your face the entire time I was watching you!

And judging from the items in your cart you are quarantining alone (I see you are buying only one of things that have a store limit of two per customer.)

Perhaps I am just giddy to be out among others but I would like to get to know you better.

Another time a more carefree me might give you my phone number, but for now, I cannot get close enough as we both do our best not to get close enough to give anyone anything.
